Presidio Bitcoin
In the heart of San Francisco’s Presidio National Park, Presidio Bitcoin aims to accelerate bitcoin adoption by providing bitcoiners with a place to work, connect and innovate. I partnered with the founding team to extend their initial brand system into real-world applications. I developed an approachable identity inspired by the natural setting and historic character of the Presidio. My work has included creative direction for events, the branding for two recurring podcasts, and a poster series influenced by National Park design traditions.
Brand Refinement
The original brand system lacked flexibility: the wordmark was difficult to use, the colors lacked accessible contrast, and typography relied on a single weight. I refined the brand with a simplified typographic logo, an expanded typographic hierarchy, and a new forest green color. Visual direction is grounded in WPA posters, trail signage, and conservation-era literature.
Events
I lead creative direction for Presidio Bitcoin’s hackathons, summits, and community events, developing a poster-led system used across physical spaces and digital channels.
Podcasts
Presidio Bitcoin hosts two in-house podcasts: 21in21, a rapid-fire Q&A featuring leaders from Bitcoin and Silicon Valley, and Presidio Bitcoin Jam (PBJ), a weekly roundtable on current Bitcoin topics. I designed the visual systems for both shows, including cover art and episode and thumbnail templates. The designs draw from the typography and hierarchy of Presidio signage.
Posters
I designed a series of posters for the coworking space to extend the brand into the physical environment. Installed across entrances and conference rooms, the work adds warmth and a sense of place. Each piece was designed to feel collectible, reinforcing the space as a cultural hub.
